Spring Beauties

It still looks like winter in a lot of ways, but the spring beauties are blooming.
And the birds are definitely getting more active.

Great blue herons

Great blue herons are quite possibly my favorite bird. At the beach there was a guy throwing them fish, so two let us get much closer than usual.

Venice

We went back to FL for my friend Susan's wedding -- where we took no pictures -- and then down to the beach, where we took lots of pictures in addition to collecting shells and even swimming a bit.
