The 400

We went mushrooming in an undisclosed location today and found over FOUR HUNDRED morels. Yes, we counted. Yes, they are delicious. Yes, our quads are sore.

Little Orleans

We went back to Little Orleans Cabin on the C&O Canal to see the spring wildflowers. It was the perfect kind of cabin trip, with rain at night to make us really glad we weren't in a tent, but a beautiful sunny day on Saturday.

Saxifrage was one of the flowers we don't see a lot around here, but it was growing in (relative) abundance on the rocks.

The frogs were out making quite a racket, and we saw several red-spotted newts.

Matt also caught a four-pound catfish in the Potomac, but we'll spare you the gory pictures.
